[October 16, 2021 Session] 8hr Continuing Education for NC General Contractor License Renewal (4)

Participants will earn the 2 hours of mandatory credit plus 6 hours of elective credit toward continuing education required by the NC Licensing Board of General Contractors.

Cost: $200.00 for all eight (8) hours

Upon completion of the required 8-hours, we at Building Blocks 2 Build will pay the $32 C.E. filing fee ($4 per hour) and report your completed continuing education hours to the North Carolina Licensing Board for General Contractors.

You will need your NC General Contractor License Number and Qualifier Number to register.

This course will be offered on Zoom in compliance with the NC Licensing Board for General Contractors' requirements for synchronous learning. Zoom is free to sign up for and use for these courses.

To participate you must have the minimum requirements:

• A computer or other device with camera and microphone capabilities (student connection via cell phone is not allowed)
• Broadband internet access with a strong internet connection capable of maintaining connectivity
• Software requirements (i.e. operating system, browser, etc.)
• Optional but Strongly Recommended: Preregistered Zoom Account with your full name listed

Class will open one hour prior to class start time to check everyone in with a Photo ID. Please be sure to check in early to help classes stay on schedule. If you have not attempted to join the class at least thirty (30) minutes prior to scheduled start time, you run the risk of not being properly checked in per the requirements of the NC Licensing Board for General Contractors. Without proper check in, you will not receive credit for your attendance and your money will not be refunded to you.

10:10 am to 12:10 pm — Contracted Construction Work: Warranties and Ways to Breach

12:10 pm to 12:40 pm — Break for Lunch

12:40 pm to 2:40 pm — Construction Contracts: Breaches and Possible Defenses to Dispute a Construction Contract

2:40 pm to 2:50 pm — Break

2:50 pm to 4:50 pm — Ignorance is Bliss – But Not When It Comes to Your Contractor’s License
